A statement of cityhood
Tepehuanes, Durango is entering a new chapter where its visual identity seeks to express with clarity, warmth, and pride what the community and its territory represent. This project was conceived as a vision for the city: a graphic language that conveys both the cultural and natural strength of the region, while projecting its path toward the future.
The system balances the institutional and the human: on one side, a solid and functional structure for formal communication; on the other, an approachable expression that resonates with citizens in their everyday lives.
Each element was designed on a grid inspired by O’dam textiles, integrating this cultural heritage into a contemporary visual language. This foundation provides authenticity and rootedness, while ensuring consistency across all applications.
More than an aesthetic redesign, this identity is a statement of cityhood: a Tepehuanes that honors its roots while projecting itself as modern, transparent, and close to its people.
